From Ideation to Implementation: Supporting Students with the Quadruple “I” Method

Have you ever felt excited when students generate brilliant ideas and then puzzled as to why they don’t implement them? Alternatively, have you observed students jumping into action without thinking through the parameters of an assignment, seeking feedback, reflecting on prior experiences, or applying what they’ve previously learned to current assignments? In this article, we share how we addressed these challenges through our experiences as faculty internship mentors, but our solution is applicable to any teaching or mentoring situation.
