The integration of generative AI into education is an exciting opportunity to transform how we learn and teach. I embraced this potential by introducing an assignment using Google’s Notebook LM. Unlike other AI tools, Notebook LM lets users upload their own resources—articles, videos, even YouTube links—which means that users shape the knowledge base that the AI draws from. The platform then generates summaries, answers questions, and weaves together ideas from across sources, making complex research feel approachable and stimulating. In the Studio panel, students can even turn what they’ve learned into podcasts or videos.
