This session will highlight how an NSF-funded summer undergraduate research program at Pepperdine University was successfully designed and carried out. Student researchers involved in the program evaluation believed that this undergraduate research opportunity helped to demystify what research is and how it is conducted. Faculty viewed undergraduate research as a systematic means to pursue the scholarship of teaching and to conduct research simultaneously.
